Guidance notes for the advertisers and the hire users.
Person offering and advertising items or services for use referred to as “owner”
Person using the items or services offered by the owner referred to as the “hire user”
The website connects “owners” with “hire users” by way of the “owner “ advertising information on the website to include what items or services they have to offer and how the “hire user” can contact them. The website is used by the owner to advertise any item that they own or service that they can provide.
The Advertiser Owner
The owner must register with the website and pay a fee to become a member. The “owner” must also purchase advertisement slots, where one advertisement slot allows one item or service to be placed in the database of items available for the “hire user”. These advertisement slots can be purchased from the member’s area in bundles. The “owner” will select which category the item is to be placed and what the item is called from a drop down box. Where the name of the item or category is not on the database the “owner” can request a new item or category to be added.
The Hire User
Then the “hire user” will search the database to find the item closest to them geographically that they want to use. The “hire user” will enter their postcode, select category and select item they want. Should this item be in the database and associated postcode the result will display item, distance, postcode, first name, contact number of the “owner”. The “hire user” will contact the “owner” and discuss the item and associated using / offering details. This is as far as the website goes, it links the “owner” and the “hire user” from there it is a private arrangement between the “owner and the “hire user” should an arrangement be made to hire the item or make use of the service being offered. The website does not get involved in the costs to the “hire user“ for the items or services.
